The Tube and Tire Fair Trade Messenger Bag is made from old inner tubes and bike tires. The materials are practically indestructible so why not wear it as a bag instead of throw it in a landfill? The Messenger Bag is 14.5 inches long 10.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. It has an adjustable strap that can go as short as 22 inches to as long 46 inches. It has a flap that fastens with Velcro. On the inside there is a cell phone pocket, pen holders, and a pocket divide.
Please note that customers who have purchased this bag have said it is not as big as the expected. The measurements are accurate , but the tire rubber is not as flexible as other materials so it may be a tighter fit than a fabric bag of the same size.

This purse was handwoven by the wonderful women of Conserve. Born of a desire to reduce India's mountain of waste, improve energy efficiency, and help some of Delhi's poorest out of the city's slums, Conserve India achieves all this by turning plastic bags into high fashion. Conserve started as a fledgling recycling project but quickly adapted to confront the biggest challenge it was facing – what to do with the thousands of plastic bags that could not be composted or recycled locally.
